The Mathematics team aim to develop learners mathematical fluency and reasoning so that they can apply those skills to complex problems. We aspire to create confidence in learners mathematical skills. We cover all aspects of the mathematical curriculum and aim to support your child develop key problem solving skills.
Pre GCSE Numeracy Bridgend
Developing the basics and fundamentals of mathematics early on are key to success in GCSE. We cover a wide variety of topics however our main goal will be to make sure learners are confident with their number skills. We will also build learners fluency and apply those skills to numeracy problems.
GCSE Mathematics and Numeracy Bridgend
There are two GCSE courses that are provided through the WJEC Mathematics and Numeracy. Both courses have three tiers of entry, foundation, intermediate and higher.
The four key areas are:
- Number
- Algebra
- Geometry
- Statistics
We cover every aspect of both courses.
We will conduct an initial assessment of your child's areas for development which will allow us to focus the provision and tailor the sessions to the specific needs of the learner.
